This building had its origins in the late 1950's as part of the "Shade Tree Project." It was a shelter for parish gatherings next to a basketball court. It had a roof and a floor. Over the years, walls were added, then heating and air conditioning in 1978. The gym was remodeled again in 1981 to become a gym/cafeteria. Through a Capital Campaign, a new gymnasium facility was built to become the Parish Gymnasium, which was completed in 2003. The former gym is now the St. Luke Center and includes the school cafeteria, offices and several classrooms.
