Parish School of Religion

For children not enrolled in Catholic School.

All children of registered St. George parish families are welcomed into the Parish School of Religion.

Education classes are offered for children ages 3 years through 11th grade. Class sessions run from Mid August-April, with specific starting and ending dates to be announced.

Religious Education classes:
  • Preschool (ages 3-5) Sunday morning, 9:30-10:30 a.m.
  • Grades 1st -6th Tuesday evenings, 5:45-7:00 p.m.
  • Grades 7th-8th Sunday evenings, 7:15-8:30 p.m.
  • Grades 9th-11th Alternating Sundays, 7:15-9:00 p.m.

Children ages five by September 30th and older will be placed in the class that corresponds with their school grade level. Grade level changes are determined by the Director of Children's Faith Formation.

Children must have reached their third birthday by September 30 to be eligible to start classes in the fall. Three year old class sizes are limited by the number of students. Often, the total number of three year olds presented for registration exceeds the spaces available. Registration for three year old classes is on a first-come first-serve basis. A waiting list will be established when size limit is reached.

Students must be registered in the program to attend classes.

Sunday Mass
All students in grades 1 and above should be attending mass weekly.

The Eucharist is central to our Catholic Faith, and weekly participation in the Mass is critical to your child's faith formation. Faith must be practiced to be meaningful, and Mass attendance as a family is an important extension of your child's religious education.
