Charismatic Prayer Group
The St. George Catholic Charismatic Prayer Group strives to help each member deepen his/her relationship with Our Lord Jesus Christ through prayer, praise and worship, using the gifts of the Holy Spirit, in submission to church authority. This group gathers on Tuesday evenings at 7 p.m. in the Chapel to praise God.
We begin with the rosary and follow with one hour of songs, praise and worship. Since we are a charismatic group, we are open to the gifts of the Holy Spirit mentioned in 1 Cor 12. We respect and encourage each member's individual style of praise. We end the evening with a teaching, a time of sharing, intercessory prayer, a Mass or extended worship.

Small Christian Communities
These are small groups of people who gather regularly in homes to reflect on the Sunday scriptures, share faith, and connect everyday life with their faith. You have the option of seasonal groups or ongoing groups.
All of the meetings include prayer in various forms and may include other activities such as bible study, reflection, meditation and journaling. Members are invited to share their life experiences, feelings, views and faith; however, some members may simply listen if they choose. Some groups offer programs that resemble "mini retreats," and some groups perform community service, such as preparing meals for the Bishop Ott Shelter.
The schedule and content of the meetings is a decision of the group itself. There are no rules for SCC's but there is guidance and initial training from members of the parish's SCC Core Team to help new groups get started. Each group is connected to the the Parish through a representative of the group who serves as the Pastoral Contact (PC). PCs from different groups and the SCC Core Team meet to share resources to help support the SCCs.
