Stewardship begins with our personal need to return to God a truly grateful portion of our time, talent, and treasure. In gratitude for the many blessings God has given to us, please prayerfully reflect on how you may respond to God's calling as a St. George Parishioner as you visit this area of the website.
Stewardship of Prayer
St. Paul reminds us in his Letter to the Ephesians, "At every opportunity pray in the Spirit, using prayers and petitions of every sort. Pray constantly and attentively for all." (Ephesians 6:18) An integral part of good stewardship is a commitment to be a person of prayer. With the busy lives that we all lead, sometimes daily prayer time seems to get lost. Through a personal commitment to prayer we are challenged to make prayer a priority over all the other activities that fill our lives. Daily prayer can lift us up, give our lives meaning and purpose, help us cope with life's ups and downs, and bring us joy and peace. Stewardship of Prayer infuses our parish with God's spirit and is the cornerstone for the other two aspects of total stewardship: ministry and finance.
Stewardship of Ministry
St. George offers many opportunities for parishioners to participate fully in the life of the parish. Over 100 ministries are divided among the six commissions -- liturgy, spiritual life, administration, education, community/family life, and social responsibility. Parishioners can share their gifts through ministering to fellow parishioners, the community, or the larger Church.
Please visit our various ministries below.
To sign up for a ministry please download a ministry sign-up form and return to the parish office.
Stewardship of Finance
Through the continued generosity of the parishioners of St. George, we are able to meet the parish's financial obligations. We ask that you prayerfully consider your financial commitment to the parish. Please contact the Church Office to receive weekly stewardship contribution envelopes.
We also offer the possibility of financial stewardship through Electronic Giving. With proper authorization, a set amount can be automatically drafted from your checking account either monthly or semi-monthly. This has proven to be a very helpful tool for many of our parishioners. Simply complete the "Automatic Bank Draft Authorization" form to begin using Electronic Giving.
