High School

9th - 12th Grade Youth Group

What is Georgetown?

St. George High School Youth Group is open to teens from freshman to senior year of high school. Our regular meetings are called "Georgetown" and are hosted in the Kleinpeter Activity Center on Thursday evenings. Refreshments are served, and all are welcome! Georgetown events are characterized by enthuiastic icebreaker games, innovative presentations, and strong focus on the teens as individuals.  Please see the schedule for upcoming events.

Who can participate? How do we sign up?

St. George parishioners in the 9th - 12th grades are automatically registered, even if they don't attend St. George School.

Most meetings do not require a sign-up sheet or preregistration of any kind; they are open events. Occasionally a special event, such as the food drive or lock-in, will require teens to register in advance. Those flyers are distributed by email and also hosted on this website.

9th - 11th Parish School of Religion

What is Parish School of Religion (PSR)?

High School 9th - 11th grade students who are not enrolled in a school with a daily, Catholic religion class are invited to enroll in Life Teen, the Junior High PSR program! Like High School PSR, Junior High PSR helps parents prepare their teens for the Sacrament of Confirmation. This ongoing formation is important because it gives the teens a foundation for faith during some of the most challenging years of their life.

What is Life Teen?

High School PSR utilizes the Life Teen program to connect our high school teens with their Catholic heritage. Similar to Life Teen and high shool youth group, you can expect icebreaker games, videos, small groups, presentations, skits, and other elements in their meeting plans.

How do we enroll?

Families must register their children in the PSR Program in order to attend classes. Please complete the PSR Registration form (see sidebar) and submit it electronically. The fee for PSR registration is $45 per child, not to exceed $75 per family.

When do we meet?

Life Teen is hosted on Sunday evenings from 7:15 – 8:30 p.m. in the Kleinpeter Activity Center (KAC).  These classes begin in August with a parent/student session in the KAC.  The first student Life Teen meeting will be held the following Sunday after the 6 p.m. Youth Mass.
